It was 2009, and former accountant Jim Roeglin lost his job.
Rather than sulking or stewing, he decided to put one of his many talents to work. He got together with a few of his good friends and started making Bloody Mary mix. After months of tinkering with recipes -- essentially reverse engineering the recipe so it would work in mass quantities -- Jimmy Luv's was born.
And it turns out it wasn't just your ordinary, run-of-the-mill mixer.
Jimmy Luv's Bloody Mary Mix is the real deal, and unlike many mixes it doesn't need more than a shot of vodka (and perhaps a garnish or two) to make a pretty spectacular cocktail.
In other words, it isn't just salty tomato juice. It's thick and rich, with notes of cumin and olive -- spicy but not overwhelming or too peppery. And people love it.
In fact, it's not so uncommon for someone who is trying a Jimmy Luv Bloody Mary for the first time to exclaim out loud, “This is the best Bloody Mary I’ve ever had!”
Jimmy Luv's comes in two varieties -- regular and "Sneaky Spicy." And both are absolutely delicious.
